You put the dream in my reality

Been having lazy days at home lately. My ankle is getting better, but it still hurts to walk on it. I guess the doctor knew what she was doing when she put me on sick leave till August 3rd heh.
I had a really strange dream last night, it was about my former best friend Danny.. And I say former because he no longer talks to me, yes my ex is that much of an ass, anyway, I saw Danny coming out of a door, I think maybe we were at an airport, I can’t recall.. He saw me, but then he didn’t talk to me, hmm. I wonder if my dream reflected real life..

It was a sprained ankle indeed. I went to the doctor, who told me it was a sprained ankle, and put me on sick leave till August 3rd, which means over a week off. My doctor even sent me to the hospital to get x-rays done, but luckily nothing was broken. My ankle hurts a lot, and I don’t sleep good cause I wake up in pain =/ Sucks. I’m kinda happy about the week off though since Mark leaves on the 10th.

I had an unexpected long weekend, as I got Thursday off, as well as Monday. It was really nice to have 5 days off in a row though. Didn’t do much this weekend, Mark and I watched two movies yesterday (”The Prestige” which was pretty good, and “Turistas” or something which wasn’t really great, but ok entertainment I suppose).
Flash forward to this morning, I get in the shower, slip and fall, and I think I managed to sprain my ankle… I’m going to the doctor at 1:45pm and then we’ll see. It’s swollen and blue and it really hurts to walk on it I don’t want to have a sprained ankle now, cause the food festival starts tomorrow, and it’s one of my favorite events here..
I haven’t read any Harry Potter books, but I still know what happens in the last one. I think I tried to read the first two books a few times, just couldn’t really get into it or something.
Mark is leaving in 3 weeks while I’ll be stuck here. It’s going to suck so much. I hate feeling trapped here, and have the feeling that I can’t go home =/

To answer Jason’s question first: I don’t think I like being the oldest because my parents expect more of me, I dunno heh. That’s what it feels like anyway!
This week hasn’t been bad so far. I trained this girl at work on Monday, yesterday I had to move receptions and today I’m in the main reception here, which is quite fun cause there’s always something going on, and I get to go home at 2:15! Which is 2 hours earlier than my usual shifts. And even better, I might get tomorrow off. A 4 day weekend would be nice.
Game-news, Mark and I got a trial to DH, and so far it’s been fun but quite busy. I like that they’re always doing something though, sure beats the hell out of staring at my moogle lol. Hopefully when our trial is up we’ll get in.
Oda was here last weekend but I didn’t get to see her much cause I was too tired. I’m planning on going to Oslo sometime in the fall though, so I’ll just see her then.
My parents are coming back on Thursday. Mom’s been in Oslo and Sweden. I don’t think I get a vacation this year…

4. I miss Toronto a lot, and I wish I could go back. However after all my ex’s bashing I am not sure if it’s all possible.

6. I am the oldest child. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t.
7. I get along better with guys than with girls for some reason. I have a few selected close girlfriends that I love more than anything, but we don’t see each other very often.
8. After being allergic to cats for many years I now have a kitten. Had her for a year, and *fingers crossed* no reaction yet!

The weekend is almost here! I was supposed to be off today, but I’m at work, go figure. Long shift too, 7am to 6pm. At least I got paid today, yay.
So tired though, I had a nap for maybe two hours and then stayed up all night to have another fourty minute nap or so before I actually had to go to work.

It’s been a quiet week. I got a stomach bug so I stayed home Monday and Tuesday. Back to work tomorrow though, but I work the evening shift and don’t have to get up early ^_^ And the evening shift is shorter, only 7 hours, compared to my normal 10, 7 sounds pretty good. I’m hoping I’m working some evening shifts next week too.

Here’s hoping to that the rest of my work day will go by fast! I doubt it will since there’s nothing to do, and completely dead around here, but at least I only have four more hours to go. My boss even said if I bring headphones or speakers with me and hook them up to the computer here, he doesn’t care if I watch movies/anime or whatever seeing how little there is to actually do heh. I think I’ll bring my laptop with me to work on Monday for sure - I’ll be stuck at a really boring reception then.

It shouldn’t be legal to feel this tired. I’m drained, whooped after a long week of work with long hours. But just one more day and weekend!
Stressful day at work too, this lady lost her cellphone and there was just so much shit around it. I’m too tired to explain it now, but yeah. I was super stressed from around 8am till 1pm or so. My boss showed up around lunch time and talked to my coworker and me about it though, and told us not to worry.
I’ve been doing some thinking lately, and sometimes I wonder, why are some guys such assholes? Take my ex for example. We broke up, he said he wanted to stay friends, all that stuff. Then I find out he’s been talking a lot of shit about me, to our mutual friends, in his blog etc, and the funny part is? It all screams “Pity me” and “Give me attention now!”. Real nice way of showing you want to stay friends huh? I always thought he was a nice guy, but then when we broke up he turned into an ass and a drama king. Funny how it all turned out though. Oh well, I’m a firm believer in karma so some day he’ll regret being such a prick about it all. But yeah, talking shit about me, and blaming it all on me is pretty damn immature and lame. Not much I can do about it I suppose. I know I’m much better off without him, and I am truly happy in my current relationship. Sure, we have our ups and downs, and we argue, but I actually value the fact that we CAN argue and talk about things, my ex was a very closed person and he was very scared of confrontation and arguments, or so it seemed. I know I’m suffering from being in a relationship like that with no communication, but I try to open up and let it go. It’s just hard sometimes - I still have the habit about venting to my friends and then be done with it, but meh. Or well, lately it’s been to my bff B ( not just about problems with my boyfriend, but life in general), I’m sure he’s sick of it now lol - but THANK YOU for always being there for me, lending me an ear and your input, I appreciate it, and I hope you know I’m always here for you - I <3 you!
Life has a funny way for all of us at times - I still think we’re all on a journey, it’s just that some people’s journeys take longer than others, to be in that happy place..

Happy Independence Day to all you Americans out there! Although the meaning of the word may not apply to most US citizens these days, seeing how the country is ran more or less by a power hungry bastard, heh.
Uneventful day at work, it was slow and boring and time just seemed to really drag on. Shorter shift than yesterday and tomorrow though so it wasn’t bad. My 5 day work week is slowly down to two!
Meh, I should probably head to bed, and try to sleep. Looks like it’ll be another sleepless night though..

Ack work is so boring in the summer cause everyone’s on vacation, so the buildings are empty and there’s hardly anything to do for us receptionists. I don’t really mind, but it makes the days drag on and on. I’d rather have something to do so that time would go by faster, heh.
Been such a shitty summer - weather is crappy and I haven’t even been to the beach once! Then again I’m stuck at work 4 days a week, except for this week, I work 5. But next week and the week after I only work 3 days so it makes up for it. Mm, can’t wait to sleep in and lazy mornings with the boyfriend <3
Speaking of, it’s our one year today.. Oh my, a year already?! It’s been quite the year, first with my virus, then my surgery, his parents divorce, us moving out, his dad being diagnosed with cancer, immigration… But I am glad we went through it all, and in the end I know we are there for each other and love each other, and that’s what it’s all about.
We won’t be able to do too much today cause I’m working till 4:20pm… But this weekend for sure.
My body is sore, haha. I was helping my mom with yard work on Sunday, so now my arms and back are sore and achy -_-
Sleepy at work is never a good thing.. Then again, I don’t have time to go to bed and sleep enough lol. I need more hours in the day, again! I think I average 4 hours of sleep a night, which is not recommended.. Yep I live off weekends =)
