You put the dream in my reality

Japan day 1 and 2!

What a trip so far! I’m having a blast here! Great food, great country, great people I travel with..
I started my trip from Oslo around 1:15pm on Monday, got to Helsinki and had about an hr and a half layover there before it was off to Nagoya! Flight was around 9 hours and 20 minutes which I killed by listening to my ipod and playing FF XII Revenant Wings on my DS :)
I arrived at 9am and Jason was right outside immigration and customs waiting, just like he said he would :) We took the subway down to Nagoya where we met up with Arthur, Vince and Gary, and then went to get the keys to my apartment :) Took a while doing that cause they had a lot to tell me, but oh well. I also got a card so I could get internet in my apartment, and then Jason and I headed to my apartment to set it up and so I could drop off my luggage. Card didn’t fit into my laptop, so we had to go back and get the USB card instead.. We get there and Jason realizes he forgot the installation cd and the booklet on my desk, so back to my apartment we go and back down to Nagoya haha. Got the usb card, then met up with Arthur, Gary and Vince again :)
We went to a place called “Big Camera” which is a huge electronics store… I bought a new camera! It’s a Nikon S700 with 12.1 MP :) I’m loving it so far! I even got a 2 gig memory card with it…
I think after that we just walked around and had a late lunch at Denny’s… Went back to the apartments and met up again around 7pm to go the supermarket and buy food. We cooked it and ate at Vince and Arthur’s and then I went to sleep. Don’t think I’ve slept so good in a while, I was exhausted after being up for like 34 hours or something..
Today (Wednesday April 30th) we’d decided to go to Nagoya Castle and Osu, where there is a temple. We all met up around 10am, took the subway to Nagoya Castle, which was a beautiful place :) We walked around there for a good 3 or 4 hours I think before going to Osu! Had lunch at a local restaurant in Osu after seeing the temple and taking pictures, then we decided to go shopping! Vince and I bought kimonos :) We got them at some store with discounted prices, there’s no way I could afford buying one of those really pricey ones… Got all we needed to go with it too (obi, socks, undershirt etc). We walked around a bunch after, Gary bought toys, I bought a shirt for Mark.. Been a long day but I’ve loved every minute of it. Had lunch at a restaurant, I ate tempura, fat noodles (specialty here in Nagoya, I can’t remember what they’re called), and rice and miso soup, and for dinner we ate at a place where you buy the food ticket from a vending machine, and then hand it in to the cooks.. I had those fat noodles again I think.
The wedding is tomorrow :) I’ll probably edit this later after comparing notes with Gary and Arthur, hehe.

Different browsers, different look.

I’m at work and opened my site in IE and it looks different and weird.. A lot more scrolling required to get to the blog, I’m not sure if it’s just the work computer or if it actually looks that crappy in IE. I use Firefox at home and it looks fine on there. Meh.
Last day at work before my vacation. I can’t believe I’m gonna be off for 2 weeks! Long flight though, but I’ll manage. Good thing my ipod has a battery life of about 20 hours or more.
My Rail pass arrived today so I should be all set! Exchanging yen before going to the airport, but my dad already exchanged 1000 NoK for me (about $200) and then I’ll get the rest of what I’m bringing on Monday :)
My sister and dad are here this week-end. I don’t have any plans really, might watch a movie with my sister tonight though!

Stuck at work with absolutely gorgeous spring weather outside :( I was supposed to work from 7am till 4:20pm, but I changed my shift cause it was Sivi’s birthday yesterday and we went out to celebrate :)
Started the night at Mogul India where we ate dinner, and Sivi had made a cake that she brought there! Maya had planned a surprise party for Sivi at Maya’s house, so as we were finishing up dinner we all made up excuses for why we had to leave early… Sivi had NO idea, and she looked really disappointed and sad when we all just up and left, hehe. We walked to Maya’s, Maya stayed behind and brought Sivi there, and when she arrived we (all of us who’d left the restaurant) jumped out and yelled SURPRISE!! And sang her happy birthday :) The look on her face was priceless, haha. I felt so bad for her when we were leaving the restaurant cause she really had no clue what was going on, she really thought we were all just mean and heartless and would just leave her on her birthday like that haha. The night turned out really good, and I think al of us had a blast! Next outting is on Saturday, going to Rizwana’s then :)
Only a little over a week till I go to Japan! Mostly everything is taken care of, I still haven’t bought a present for Jason and Reiko though, I have no clue what to get them… But I’ve ordered my travel insurance, and my rail pass.. Dress and shoes are bought. Still need to get some capri pants, since I only have one pair here I think (rest are in my apartment in the US) and maybe some other summer clothes. Really looking forward to the trip and some nice hot weather!
I told Mark that if I’m moving, I want at least one last summer here with my friends.. I think he’s pretty disappointed, but since he decided he doesn’t wanna live here, who knows when I’ll have time and money to go home to Norway for a summer.. I kinda wish he’d change his mind, and would wanna live here, cause life here is so much better to be honest. Better paying jobs, 5 weeks vacation/year, better health care system etc etc etc. And not to mention, my friends are here, where we live in the US I know no one except Mark’s mom and his baby sister. It’ll take quite some getting used to when I go back, hehe.

Got my wisdom tooth surgically removed today. Everything went okay though. I’ve had all my 4 wisdom teeth removed, and only one could be pulled normally, had to have the rest surgically removed cause they were growing underneath. The one they took today was growing horizontally under my other teeth, haha. At least it’s all done now :) I’m on painkillers so I’m doing quite okay.
Found a dress to wear for Jason and Reiko’s wedding :) It’s a little expensive, but it’s gorgeous, and I’m going to buy it tomorrow :D. Now I just need shoes, and then I’ll probably have to buy some summer clothes as Japan should be quite warm when I’m there.

Game-stuff: Been quite a busy week. Mentionable is Jailer of Love:
Jailer Of Love

Love torque!

My torque :D
Hehe. 2 JoL and 2 torques dropped! Congrats to Sugarcat on the other one :)

For the past few days I’ve been keeping myself busy with this:
Rank 8!

Rank 9!

Rank 10!

Didn’t get a screenshot of when I actually got rank 10, but yeah. Thanks to Kendlar and Khasim for the company and the help :D. I had a blast! Rank 7-10 was pretty easy, just a LOT of running (which sucks about Windurst). I’m rank 10 Sandy and Windy now, we’ll see if I do Bastok too..

Tired, very tired. Then again I’m almost always tired, even though I’m not. Hard to explain heh.
I’ve had this week off work because I have a sprained/stretched pelvic/hip bone/muscle. How you ask? Well, I fell off my horse last Thursday haha. Wasn’t anything dramatic, we were trotting and he stumbled.. Down on his knees so I just kinda flew off XD. I was fine, but sore, or so I thought and I even went to work on Friday. I was okay most of the week-end too, but then Monday came around and it really really hurt, so I went to the doctor on Tuesday and that’s what he told me. It hurts and it’s hard to walk. Good timing though I guess cause I was supposed to work all week-end, haha. I’m okay though.
Last Friday Ali and I went out to dinner :) We ate at a place called Gaffel & Karaffel in town, we both had steak and it was really good! We went back to his place after dinner and watched “Vantage Point” which premiered here in Norway the same day, yay for Internet movies :D. I liked the movie a lot actually and thought it was clever and good, just a little short.
I’ve been gone from the States, my cats, my apartment, Mark’s mom and adorable little sister for almost a year. It sucks, and I miss Mark a lot, haven’t seen him since August last year. He might be getting a new job now though, and if he does we’ll be really well off financial wise. Now if only they would hurry up with my visa.
