New opportunities??

I might look for a new job, but I don’t know yet. I like my current job and I’m good at it, but working so many evening shifts just doesn’t cut it for me anymore. I applied for a daytime shift, from 7am to 2pm but I didn’t get it. I work nights all but one week in September… I guess I’ll see how my shift list looks for October, and if I’m not happy with it I guess I’ll get something else.
Currently on a break from FFXI. I’ve been busy, but not really too busy to play, I just haven’t logged in. I’ve actually played WoW a bit, and some RO with my old buddy Brian, funny that we still play since that’s where we met like 7 years ago or something, hehe. My FFXI alter ego is in good hands anyway, Morgy actually unlocked dancer and scholar for me, and got me 3 merits <3
The horse I was GOING to buy didn't pass the veterinary check. She has lose bone splinters in hr right leg, as well as she was limping when they did the running test.. No way I'm gonna buy a sick horse that can't pass a normal veterinary check... But a few hours later after the vet had called me (this was on Friday August 22nd) a horse was bought. She's going to be here on Sunday!

My horse’s grandfather won a silver at the olympics in 2000, so she has a very very good pedigree.. This will be exciting, and I’m hella looking forward to her arrival.

I got back from Denmark last Sunday completely exhausted lol. But we had an amazing trip, saw some amazing places and brilliant horses!
I fell for a Danish Warmblood mare named Lykkehøj’s Brillant and if she goes through the veterinary check and x-ray exam next Friday, she’s mine
I originally wanted to get a horse I can learn a lot from, but they’re either very expensive or old. Brillant is 7 years old, and she’s had 3 foals, which I got to see. She’s sold from the breeders, which means she’s only ever had one home her whole life. They’re selling her cheap cause she’s not ridden much, but she has potential. This way we’ll learn together.

Tomorrow after I’m done work (at 4pm), Gro and Erik are picking me up and we drive to Kristiansand, check in at the hotel and then Thursday morning we’re off to Denmark. Gro and I are buying a horse each there.
I’m sure the next days will be insanely busy, but also a lot of fun.
I’ll be back on Sunday.

Busy busy busy…

I’ve barely been home all week, geez. Worked out 3 times (Monday, Tuesday ad Thursday) and just been busy hanging out with friends and enjoying my week off.
Monday Gro and I worked out and then we looked for a stable for me to have my horse when it arrives. Tuesday we worked out again, and bought a gift for Sarah’s baby, and we also got a gift-card for Sarah. I know it’s not that common giving gifts to the mommies, but geez she was in labor and pushed that baby out, we thought she deserved something nice I also got my nails done on Tuesday. Had them put on a nail strengthener so they won’t break as easily.
Wednesday I went to the bank and signed my loan papers (loan for the horse). I actually got the money in my account the very same day Gro, Erik and I went to see Sarah, Kristian and their new-born after. He’s so tiny! Eventhough he apparently was a big baby, he weighed over 4 kilos.
Gro and I went to town after to go to the food festival but it was just so crowded that we said screw it, and ate at Ostehuset (translates to Cheesehouse) instead. Yummy sandwiches! I had a veggie one with mozarella cheese. Headed back to Gro’s after, and then to Ikea and to Gro’s stable. When we got there, a horse was laying down out on the field. The horse looked like it was about to die, and when we asked if the horse was okay they said they didn’t know. A horse laying there, with cramps, rolling it’s eyes and you don’t know if it’s okay? Come on. We had them call the vet, who arrived there after an hour or two… Latest news is that the horse is now so ill that it can’t even stand up. When I was there on Wednesday I seriously thought it was having death cramps and was going to die there and then… I’m really hoping they’ll let the horse go for it’s own best.
Oda came home on Thursday so I walked over to her house Thursday night for a brief catchup, and yesterday her, Ali and me went to town. We had coffee at Amy’s, went back home only to meet up again after an hour or so.. We went to Gro’s for drinks, and all of us got pretty drunk… Headed downtown around midnight and barhopped and danced through the night
I go back to work on Monday and I actually work most of the week

Exhausted

I’m actually so tired that I’m considering going to bed soon, and it’s not even 10pm yet haha. Worked out for 2 hours today. Last week Gro and I worked out 4 days. Pretty good start huh? I’m not noticing much difference yet though, but we’ve only been working out for about 3 weeks.
Sarah had her baby! He was born 6am yesterday, I’ll probably go see her on Wednesday
Working out again tomorrow and then Gro and I are having lunch, and shopping for a gift for the baby.
I’m off work for a week

I exchanged my laptop, it was running very hot and I got extremely low FPS when playing FFXI. I exchanged (and paid the price difference) for an Acer Aspire 5930G.

So far so good It runs about 20 degrees C cooler than the other one. I think I’ll be really happy with this laptop. I got it on Tuesday, and have installed almost everything I need and use already.
Let’s see. Tuesday was quite busy. I got up around 9:30am and went to the gym with Gro. We worked out for over an hour, I came home and showered and headed out again, to exchange laptop, and then we went to visit Expo.. We headed back to Gro’s after, Erik made us dinner while we looked for horses to buy. Yep. I’m getting a horse! Most likely from Denmark. I found one that I really really like, so I’m crossing my fingers that she’s not sold when we go to Denmark in 3 weeks.
I’ve been doing pretty okay lately.

Feeling okay

Today was the first time in a very very long time that I woke up and didn’t feel like complete shit.
I’ve realized as I’ve been here in Norway for the past year that I don’t have any desire to move back to the States. I had a really hard time telling Mark this though, so it just added up. I broke down and told him I just couldn’t go through with it, because I know with how I am now with everything, I just wouldn’t be happy there. I’ve always put others before me, so I think it’s time to think about myself too. So I ended up telling him he’d have to move here, or we’d probably have to end things, seeing how hard it’s been on the both of us having a long distance relationship for the past year, when we’d already lived together. I was scared to death he’d refuse to move, and therefor ending things, but we had a long talk on the phone yesterday, and he said he’s willing to move here and try. We made a compromise, I go back to the States for a month or so, to pack things up, and sell off things we don’t need, and then we get on the plane together, to move here.
I’m really glad how things turned out.

Mark and I have been together for 2 years today.
There have been a lot of ups and downs and a lot of back and forth, but we’ll make it. I know we will.

Gym!

Yep you read right. Yesterday after I had lunch and walked around in town with Gro and Sarah, Gro and I made the trip to the gym and enrolled! After that we walked back downtown and I went shopping for gym clothes I got pants and shirts and everything I need pretty much except shoes but Erik (Gro’s awesome boyfriend) picked us up and we went to Forus (10 minute drive) where I picked up shoes. After that we went to see Expo (Gro’s Arabian horse) - horses here are on grass in the summertime and then we had ice cream, woo
Today I got up around 8:30 (I didn’t work before 2pm!) and went to the gym! Gro and I had agreed on meeting at 10 and work out for an hour, we actually worked out for over an hour. It felt pretty damn good though, and I’m tired in a good way Going again tomorrow at 10am.
My laptop should be here tomorrow
